Sandra Herrin

Sandra Herrin, stained glass artist and owner of The Glass Barn in Carbondale.
Originally from Herrin, Sandi has lived in Carbondale since 1967, working as an administrative secretary for the City of Carbondale and then for an engineering firm. Always having an interest in art she took a stained glass class in order to make some stained glass windows for the new home she and her former husband built. She discovered a love of glass and when the opportunity arose to become a part owner of The Glass Barn she jumped at the chance and says she has no regrets. She has been the sole owner at her present location, 2735 Dogwood Road, since 1992.
Sandi and Tim Heath, her associate at the Glass barn, have numerous stained glass installations in the area including many churches and individual residences, most notable perhaps are the 72 windows and transoms designed and built for Barrett Rochman’s Victorian office building off the Giant City Road.
